چکیده
Background/Aim: Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), described as the of two or more pregnancies before 24 weeks pregnancy, remains a concern for both couples and clinicians. Genetic factors tend to be strongly linked reproductive failure among different etiologies. Our goal was determine rates kinds chromosomal defects in who had repeated losses history miscarriage first trimester. Methods: This cross sectional study conducted at single tertiary center over 3-year period. Couples visited outpatient clinic due recurrent underwent tests investigate etiology were included study. Ages, number abortions genetic results patients recorded. A total 253 pairs been tested karyotype. Conventional cytogenetic method used identify aberrations. Results: Of 506 cases, abnormalities present 15 (2.9%). Women frequently affected than men, with prevalences 1.9% 0.98%, respectively. Eight cases (53.3%) showed structural deviations 2 (13.3%) numerical abnormalities. Additionally, 5 (33.3%) individuals found have chromosome variants. Conclusion: Pregnancy is major adverse life event, recurring nature RPL can intensify grief experienced. Aside from routine analyses on anatomical, endocrine, infection factors, these findings suggest that testing required an accurate approach cause miscarriages.
